About Me

I love Chinese camp BTW!

I lived in Taiwan, the Republic of China, many years ago as an LDS Service missionary and have been interested in Chinese ever since. I have taken college level Mandarin Chinese language classes at SLCC and completed several intro. and advanced Chinese courses. Additionally, I completed BYU STARTALK, a course designed for those teaching the Chinese language.

Since 2011, I have held Chinese Summer Camps for 1st - 3rd graders at my home. Each session has 6-8 kids and is just long enough to have some fun, learn Chinese culture, and review the language through games and songs. I love introducing the kids to the best of Chinese culture!

In addition, I have worked as a Chinese Immersion Program Aid at Lone Peak Elementary School. I helped with reading, making dialogue posters, and other learning activities. Soon after that, I was substitute teaching at both Lone Peak and Draper Elementary in the immersion classrooms.

These experiences have led me to offer a fun summer Chinese camp where we paint, sing, sculpt, eat, dance, and play as we learn about Chinese culture.  I can’t wait to meet your kids at Chinese camp!
